first Warner Bros. label, mono (1958 - 1962)
The first mono label has a yellow logo and a yellow 33 1/3 sign at the bottom centre. Used from the start until 1962, approximately until catalogue number W-1470.
first Warner Bros. label, stereo (1958 - 1965)
The first stereo label has a gold background and carries the words 'VITAPHONIC' and 'LONG PLAY' next to the STEREO sign at the bottom rim. Early versions of this label show a warning in red ink: 'REPRODUCE ONLY WITH STEREOPHONIC CARTRIDGE AND STYLUS. PRESSURE NOT TO EXCEED 6 GRAMS.'
second Warner Bros. label, mono (1962 - 1966)
For the second mono label both the logo and the 33 1/3 sign have been changed from yellow to white. Approximately used from 1962 to 1966.
second Warner Bros. label, stereo (1965 - 1968)
The second stereo label omits 'VITAPHONIC' and 'LONG PLAY', and the stereo equipment warning is also gone. Used approximately until catalogue number WS-1730.
third Warner Bros. label, mono (1965 - 1968)
The third mono label was introduced in late 1965 to harmonize the label design with the stereo version that was in use since the 1950s.
fourth Warner Bros. label (1968 - 1970)
The first of the green labels has a 'W' logo and 'WARNER BROS.-SEVEN ARTS RECORDS' printed on top. It was in use from 1968 into 1970, approximately for WS-1730 to WS-1850.
fifth Warner Bros. label(1970 - 1973)
The second green label was used from 1970 to 1973. It comes with the familiar 'WB' logo again, and has 'WARNER BROS. RECORDS' printed on top. For catalogue numbers WS-1850 to WS-2699 (approximately).
sixth Warner Bros. label (1973 - 1978)
The Burbank Label was used in the mid-1970s, from about catalog numbers 2700 to 2860.

seventh Warner Bros. label (1978 - early 1980s)
The modern label with a newly designed shield logo was used from 1978 on. The first version has a light background with horizontal lines.
