1. Label Variation
first Vee Jay label (1957 - 1959)The first Vee-Jay label is silver on maroon with a thin silver circle around the edge. Used for all 1950s releases from VJLP-1001 to VJLP-1015.
2. Label Variation
second Vee Jay label (1960)The second silver on maroon label has a wide silver strip around the edge and the words 'TRADE MARK REG.' under the Vee-Jay logo. It is unclear when exactly this was used, probably only for a few early 1960 releases and reprints of earlier albums.

third Vee Jay label (1960 - 1964)What is commonly referred to as the oval label was used in the 1960s until early 1964. It shows an oval Vee-Jay logo and a wide rainbow strip around the edge.
4. Label Variation
fourth Vee Jay label (1963 - 1965)The brackets label is similar to the oval label, also has the rainbow perimeter strip, but its shows a new Vee-Jay logo enclosed in brackets. This fourth design was used from 1963 to 1965, approximately from cat. number VJLP-1071 to VJLP-1154.
5. Label Variation
fifth Vee Jay label(1967 - 1972)This label was used for reissues from about 1967 - 1972. Similar in design to the brackets label it lacks the rainboy strip around the rim.
6. Label Variation
sixth Vee Jay label (mid 1970s - 1990s)The Vee-Jay International globe label was used for both original releases and re-releases from the mid-1970s on. There are several other 'Vee-Jay International' labels that were used for re-pressings after 1967. Usually these reprints can be identified by a manufacturing note that states 'Vee-Jay International' or 'V.J. International'.
