Soul Records was a subsidiary label of Motown Records, founded in 1964 for releases with less of a pop feel and more of a traditional blues and rhythm and blues style. Among the most notable artists on Soul were Jr. Walker & The All Stars and Gladys Knight & The Pips. The label was dissolved in 1978.
