Jaro International Records was a subsidiary of the Rank Organisation was a British entertainment conglomerate founded by J. Arthur Rank in 1937. In the late 1950s, Rank set up a music business named Rank Records Ltd., and the primary label for this business was Top Rank. Jaro was founded as a jazz label under Rank Records in 1959.
In 1961, Rank Records was taken over by EMI, and in 1962 Top Rank was replaced with Stateside Records. Jaro International did not survive the transition to EMI.
