Label Guide: Milestone
Milestone Records was an American jazz label founded in New York City in 1966 by producers Orrin Keepnews and Dick Katz. Sonny Rollins, Lee Konitz and McCoy Tyner were among the major musicians who have recorded for the label. Milestone became part of Fantasy Records in 1972, but it continued with new releases as a standalone label well into the 1980s.
