Direct-Disk Labs was an audiophile record label, founded by Joe Overholt in Nashville, Tennessee. The label was active for a few years in the late 1970s.
In addition to direct-to-disc recordings, a technique where the records were cut directly from the live studio performances, without the intervention of a recording tape, the company also released a bunch of half-speed mastered LPs of classic albums by Van Morrison, Grateful Dead, The Who, Elton John and others.
