Cramps Records was an Italian record label, founded in 1973 by producer and graphic designer Gianni Sassi with his partners Sergio Albergoni and Franco Mamone. Albergoni used the pen name 'Frankenstein' as a lyricist for Cramps and previously Bla Bla Records, which led to a Frankenstein picture being chosen for the Cramps logo.
The artists on Cramps were in the avantgarde, progressive jazz-rock, and songwriter genres, most of them Italian artists. The label was first distributed by Dischi Ricordi, then Phonogram and in the late 1970s by Baby Records. Cramps Records was closed in 1980.
