Label Guide: Century

Century Records was a custom label recording company and record manufacturer founded in 1958 in California. It served the music education market, mostly at the collegiate and high school level, although it also produced recordings of professionals. Century Records was family-owned and a subsidiary of Keysor-Century Corporation. The company had is own pressing plant in Saugus, California. Century went out of business in 1976.

As most of Century's pressings were one-time releases, mostly for high school bands or self-promoted artists, there is a large number of different label designs over the almost two decades of custom records. The first two scans show the standard Century Records label with the corporate logo.
