Ohr was an influential German electronic/experimental record label set up by Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser in 1969. The label was active until 1973, distributed by Metronome, and widely regarded as a pioneer for 'Krautrock' as the label introduced bands as Tangerine Dream, Embryo, Guru Guru and Ash Ra Tempel.
The first five Ohr releases featured sleeves by Mainz-based artist Reinhard Hippen, all with dismembered baby doll parts as a central aspect of the imagery. Kaiser also set up the label Pilz for more folk-based releases, and in 1973 Ohr was folded into Kaiser's new 'space-rock' label Kosmische Kuriere (later Kosmische Musik, also Cosmic Couriers).
