Nemperor Records was an American record label born out of an artists management company named Nemperor Artists, founded in 1966 by Brian Epstein and Nat Weiss. While Epstein is best known for being manager of The Beatles, Nat Weiss was an attorney for musicians, including Peter Asher, James Taylor, John McLaughlin, Cat Stevens and Miles Davis.
The record label came to life in 1974 with the release of a Jerry Goodman & Jan Hammer album. It was distributed by Atlantic until the end of 1977, then by Columbia/CBS.
