Neighborhood Records was founded in 1971 by singer/songwriter Melanie (Melanie Safka) and her husband Peter Schekeryk. The label was first distributed by Famous Music Corp., then moved to Bell Records in 1975. Neighborhood Records was discontinued in 1976
